Check out our list of Oahu beaches! Oahu is home to over 100 beaches, so even though I’m from Oahu, I know I haven’t visited all the beaches yet. I guess I’ll just have to keep *working* on it😉.
All the beaches on Oahu are public. In Hawaii, there is no such thing as a private beach, so even if a beach seems “blocked” by a residential neighborhood, they are required to have beach access open to the public and it is usually defined by a marked pathway in the area. Please look for the pathway and do not attempt to go through someone’s yard!
The only caveat is any area enclosed by military bases on Oahu. If the beaches are directly connected to the base or are in a military-controlled area, then your access to those places will be restricted. Nevertheless, with so many beaches to choose from, I’m sure you’ll find a great one to scope out tide pools, catch a few waves, play with your kids, or snorkel to your heart’s content.
