Two Tank Dive - Wreck/Reef
Our wreck/reef dive offers a deep plunge to a legendary shipwreck and a shallow dive to Oahu’s enchanting natural reefs. We’ll take you on a scenic boat ride, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy watching for dolphins, turtles and spectacular views of Honolulu. When it comes time to dive, get ready for an exhilarating underwater experience.
Monday to Friday at 12noon
What’s Included
We’ll visit a wreck site and reef for our 2 dives. Our selections will depend on conditions on the day of your trip including the following options:
– USS YO257 – about a mile off shore with Diamond Head crater in the background rests the wreck of the YO257. This old World War II Navy ship is one of the island’s most popular dive sites. She is resting upright at about 95ft. Holes have been cut through-out the ship making easy access to some of the interior cabins.
– The San Pedro – White-tip Sharks and Hawaiian sea turtles frequently visit this old Korean fishing vessel, just 50 yards from the YO-257. Keep an eye out for the mini submarines, too.
– The Sea Tiger – Made famous by the book The Hunt for the Sea Tiger by Captain Mac, she is one of Hawaii’s newest wrecks. Hundreds of colorful reef fish, eels and sea turtles have made homes on this 168-foot Chinese merchant ship.
– Rainbow Reef – This brightly colored coral reef is home to hundreds of tropical reef fish as well as several large sea turtles.
– Ewa Pinnacles – Two large lava formations rise up from the ocean floor in this uniquely magnificent dive site. Because we’re one of the only boats to dive this site, we’re familiar with the sharks, eels and turtles that frequent this spot.
– Moe’s Reef – Get a rare and intimate glimpse of turtles in their natural environment. Honolulu Scuba Company is the only boat to dive to this site, where sea turtles come to clean their shells with the help of the reef fish. You’ll likely see at least 15 turtles on top of the reef.
– Bring swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, and waterproof camera. We provide all the diving gear and equipment, but feel free to bring your own wetsuit if you prefer.
– Snacks and refreshments are free
