Holokai Kayak & Snorkel Adventure
Kayak on beautiful Kaneohe Bay located on the windward coast of Oahu. Kaneohe Bay is home to Oahu’s only barrier reef. Enjoy an instructional eco-tour with Kamaaina Kids’ friendly staff of certified instructors. Experience the magnificence of Kaneohe Bay’s pristine waters and diverse sea life with the Bay’s one and only kayak eco-tour.
The three hour tour will journey to Coconut Island, home of the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (and where the television show, Gilligan’s Island, was filmed). Along the way explore and snorkel at various patch reefs and observe sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish in their natural habitat. Your instructor will point out cultural sites, such as the traditional Hawaiian fish pond at He’eia, and will also explain some of the challenges facing the ecosystem of the Bay.
The protected waters of the Kaneohe Bay make it a perfect place for kayakers of all skill levels. This hands-on approach makes it a safe and exciting experience for all ages.

– Downwind paddle back to He’eia State Park (Safety boat can tow those who wish to sit back and enjoy the beautiful views rather than paddle)
– Fresh-water showers and changing rooms
Restrictions:
No Infants. Ages 5+. All participants must be able to fit into at least a 30-50 pound life jacket
Holokai Hobie Catamaran Adventure Sailing Tour
Come sail breathtaking Kaneohe Bay on a 18-foot Hobie Getaway Catamaran. We cherish the opportunity to cultivate a memorable experience cruising Kaneohe Bay’s pristine waters while observing the diverse marine life! After a safety and sailing orientation given by our highly skilled and certified instructors your adventure begins at water’s edge. Our catamarans are constructed out of plastic for safety, featuring fore/aft trampolines inlcuding benches for added comfort, and coolers sunk into either pontoon. Your certified instructor can teach you sailing basics and give you a chance to feel the power of the sailing catamaran for yourself if so desired, otherwise relax, soak in the sun and enjoy the view!
The 3 hour adventure begins at Heeia State Park where the participants will have time to learn the basics of sailing and boat rigging. Our Adventure is extremely personal; instructor to participant ratio is never more than 6:1 to make sure we offer the best possible experience while keeping everyone as safe as possible. The Catamaran Sailing Charter is the most Personal sailing adventure you will find on Oahu. We look forward to sharing our Paradise on Oahu, Kaneohe Bay!
Kaneohe Bay is protected by Oahu’s only Barrier Reef which makes it a perfect place for sailors and paddlers of all skill levels and sizes!

Kayak or Snorkel & Restore the Ecosystem
The day begins with an educational briefing, explanation of tasks and the gardening tools you’ll be using, and a brief history of the area. Then you’ll help restore beautiful He’eia State Park for about 2 hours by reforesting native Hawaiian plants while removing invasives.
After lunch, you be free to paddle & snorkel pristine Kaneohe Bay with our one or two-person Malibu open-face kayaks, or C4 Stand-Up Paddle Board. Experience diverse sea life on your own self guided adventure with all watercraft located right on the shoreline.
All guests are provided a safety briefing, detailed map on where to venture including Gilligan’s Island (aka Coconut Island), and a paddling orientation given by certified instructors of Holokai Adventures.

– Holokai Adventures is a certified sustainable eco-tour operator recognized by the Hawaii EcoTourism Association
What To Bring:
– Wear items that can get wet and dirty, muddy and stained
– Drinking water (reusable hydration bottle)
– Swimming attire
– Change of clothes
– Sunscreen
– Towel
Requirements:
– 2 hours of physical work: weeding, clipping, digging, and planting in He’eia State Park, which includes a Hawaiian Lo’i – wet and muddy marsh.
– Invasive plants will then be carried to a collection location
