1 Hour Scenic Experience
Enjoy a leisurely ride through one of Oahu’s hidden treasures, the Hawaiian countryside. On this one hour tour, you and your horse will wind through shady trails and open grazing pastures. The highlight of this ride is the pastoral views and our hidden cave that was used in the filming of Hawaii 5-0. There are multiple sneak peeks of the ocean which make great picture taking spots, so don’t forget your camera!

We work hard to keep our rides small because we want you to feel like you have experienced a true Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) horseback ride. On this ride, you are likely to see wild pigs, cattle, and other horses roaming the valleys, hills, and gulches.

- The 1 Hour Scenic Ride is a walking-only ride, no trotting or cantering will be allowed.

- We recommend that you wear long pants and covered shoes for this ride. Cowboy boots are not required.

- Rescheduling with LESS than 24 hours: 50% of your booking is non-refundable if booking is canceled or changed with less than 24 hours notice.
- Reschedules with less than 24 hours can be accommodated when possible with a fee of 25% of the price paid for the ride being canceled.

Hawaii is famous for its sunsets, and Gunstock Ranch is famous for their great trail rides. Get the best of both on our Sunset Ride in Oahu. Start out in the cooler portion of the day and experience the Hawaiian sunset skies while on horseback. You and your horse will wind through mountain trails with sneak peaks of the ocean below. The highlight spot is our scenic lookout which provides a majestic view of the Windward side of Oahu. This is a great picture-taking spot, so bring your camera.

Advanced Trail Ride
If you’re an experienced rider looking for some “giddy-up!” on your ride, our Advanced Trail Ride combines the beauty of the Hawaiian country in Oahu with the adventure of skilled riding.This 60-minute guided ride gives you the opportunity for controlled trotting and cantering within the ride.
What To Expect
Please, experienced riders only! If you have not ridden more than 30 times this ride is not for you. Guests who ride often really enjoy this ride. You must have previous riding experience and need to be comfortable at a trot and canter. Wranglers will do an assessment of riding skills and will base the pace of the ride on the “least skilled ability” riders in the group. Wranglers are responsible for keeping the ride safe and will make the judgment call on how fast the ride moves out.

Pony Ride For Kids
Looking for an adventure your child will never forget? Gunstock Ranch offers Pony Rides on Oahu Hawaii that provide kids with a safe and fun experience they will remember for a lifetime. The Pony Ride for Kids is a 30-minute “horse experience” that is ideal for children between the ages of 2–7 years old. Children 6 and under will be lead or “ponied” by a wrangler. Older children or even adults are welcome to purchase one of these experiences too if they want to ride a horse alongside their child.
What To Expect
Children are allowed to feed and pet their horse after they are put in the saddle and taken on a 20 min. walk out on the ranch. Parents are welcome to walk along side their child and take pictures along the way (at no charge). Ride time is set to your availability. This is a fun experience to allow a young child the opportunity to ride a horse in a safe and controlled setting.

Your wrangler will leave you alone for a half-hour of private time to truly relax.
