Morning Sail & Snorkel

This morning snorkeling trip will take you sailing along the laid back coast of the North Shore to the best snorkel spots in the clear tropical water near famous Waimea Bay. Our groups are small and personal, meaning you get to experience a peaceful snorkel, away from the crowds, in clear tropical water with the guidance of professionals.

What To Expect

Snorkeling in Hawaii is an adventure into an underwater paradise. The living reefs of Hawaii are host to hundreds of species of fish and other marine life. During our sail along the North Shore, you’ll see Hawaiian sea turtles near the shore. On many days we encounter Spinner dolphins as they come and escort our catamaran, surf the bow wave and put on a great show as they cavort in the wake of our boat.

Once we arrive at our location, there is plenty of time for snorkeling and swimming. The snorkeling spots are home to sea turtles and it is easy to come eye to eye with them while in the water. After exploring the underwater scenery, come back aboard the Ho’o Nanea for a delicious deli lunch and cold drink.

Morning Whale Watch

An unforgettable morning on the North Shore aboard our catamaran, Ho’o Nanea, among the whales. You will see breaches blows anywhere from miles away to a hundred yards off the side of the boat.

1-19
2.5 hours

What To Expect

See breaches and blows anywhere from miles away to a hundred yards off the side of the boat—sometimes even closer when the whales move in on their own for a closer look. The Ho’o Nanea is the perfect boat for whale watching. It is just the right size to keep you close to the ocean, but big enough to be a safe and stable viewing platform.

There are very few whale watching tours in Haleiwa; as a matter of fact, we are the only commercial sailing catamaran on the whole North Shore. You will not find a gaggle of boats competing for whales. Avid and apathetic whale watchers alike would both agree that sailing the North Shore of Oahu in search of whales is done best on the Sailing Cat.

We always do our best to provide you with a great vantage point for observation without harassment to the whales, as the coast surrounding the Hawaiian Islands is supposed to be their peaceful winter sanctuary.
